An Unforgattable Cooking Experience....♥

i wanted to do kesari, so i surfed the net for recipe...
i could hav done the easier way wic is asking my mom, but i decided to D.I.M.
so tis is the recipe i gt..

Ingredients for Rava Kesari Recipe
Semolina(Rava/Sooji) - 1 cup
Ghee - 3/4 cup
Sugar - 1 3/4 cups
Cashews - 10 nos
Kesari colour - A pinch
Hot water - 2 1/2 cups
Cardamom(Elakka) powder - 1/2 tsp

Preparation Method of Rava Kesari Recipe
1)Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a nonstick pan or a kadai.

2)Add cashews and fry, till they turn golden brown and keep aside.

3)Heat up the same pan.

4)Add rava and fry for 2 mins or till the raw smell of the rava leaves.

5)Add hot water and sugar.

6)Mix well so that no lumps are formed.

7)Add kesari colour and 3 tbsp of ghee and stir.

8)When it becomes thick, add cashews and cardamom powder.

9)Pour the rest of the ghee on top and stir once.

:- Serve hot or chilled.

i told my mom bout it, n she said believe me leena no one in tis world wil use tat much ghee for kesari...but i was too stubborn...i said i'll follow every step..

n so i followed..i took 7 glasses to get ready all the ingredients..
i started off wit frying the cashew nuts, wic turned black instead of golden brown..
n there were sum ghee left in the pan, but since they said use the same pan, i just put in the rava..
after tat i couldnt smell the rava, coz the ghee smell was too strong..
so i didnt knw wen can i stop frying the rava..i stirred for 2mins n stopped..

meanwhile, the glasses wic i poured hot water got too hot till it was difficult for me to hold...
somehow, i used a towel to hold the glasses n poured the water in..
by the time i poured 2 n 1/2 glasses of water, there were so many lumps in the pan..
exactly the opposite happened...no lumps r suppose to form!!!!

anyway, i just continued mixing... it was time for me to put in the colour..
so i put in a little..the moment the colour hit the kesari mix, i gt the orange smell...then i checked the label, it was orange FLAVOURED n nt orange coloured..
i was like wat the toooooo*****ttt....

i couldnt stop or do anythng...so i just continued n lastly added the cashews n served to god... i hope they didnt scold me...

n so tis is my tragic story...
